Designing beyond the screen

I like understanding how a product works before deciding how it should look — what people need to do, how the information should be organized and where the business requirements fit.

My visual design background still shapes how I work, especially when it comes to hierarchy, clarity and the details of an interface.

A few projects I’ve worked on

I came into UX/UI through visual design.

My background is in graphic and web design, which is where I learned to think about hierarchy, communication and the details that make an interface easier to understand.

At Helix Global Solutions, my work expanded into UX/UI. I’ve worked on responsive websites, mobile experiences and e-commerce products for clients including ATB Financial and IATA.

What I enjoy most is figuring out how something should work, organizing it clearly, and then bringing that thinking into the interface.

How I work

I’m comfortable moving between structure and visual design — thinking through how something works, then bringing it into a clear interface.

01

Making sense of the product

I start by understanding what needs to be there, how the content fits together and how someone should move through it.

Information architecture · User flows · Content structure
02

Working through the experience

I use wireframes and prototypes to work through key flows before getting too far into the final interface.

Wireframes · Prototyping · Responsive behavior
03

Making the interface clear

My visual design background helps me think carefully about hierarchy, spacing and consistency, whether I’m working within an existing design system or building out new screens.
